A must-see if you want a deep understanding of kinetic art !

Great description of the works and techniques of Kinetic artists, very useful to understand their creation process and what they were looking for through their art, explained by the artists themselves.
The content of this book is divided into the different art forms : pictures, sculptures, electronic systems, and finally a selection of several discussions and articles on other subjects related to kinetic art, like the use of sound, or holography for example.
Highly recommended if you want to know more about this artistic movement.

Optical kinetic art

This is an older book now, but does seem to be the best source of information on early light and optical artworks. It is certainly dated, but I don't know of any newer work in this area.
